Being There

An ongoing body of work looking at the relationships that exist between the description or memory of a location and its actuality. Locations are often selected from guide books, television, personal accounts etc. Locations might be notorious or banal. I am interested in both the bathos that fills the gap between expectation and disappointment and the possibility of surprise.
